چکیده

Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) network is envisioned as a promising candidate to significantly improve the spectrum utilization. Due to its specific features of the DSA, however, this network is more vulnerable to security attacks than the traditional wireless networks. And channel jamming is a one of main threats to DSA networks. So far, limited works have been done in mathematical and formal modeling of the channel jamming. In this paper, we present the attempts to analyze the channel jamming behaviors in DSA networks in order to find a relationship between the number of channels, secondary users and attackers. The research focuses on jamming performance analysis in various architectures, that is, a simple DSA network and a complex DSA network with varied situations. Comparisons between theoretical and simulation results in Matlab verify that the modeling and analysis are valid.

Turbo Codes with Channel Estimation and Dynamic Power Allocation for Anti-Jam FH/SSMA *

In this paper we study the performance of turbo codes infrequency-hopped spread spectrum multiple access networks (FH/SSMA). An iterative scheme for estimating the log likelihood ratio of the channel output is proposed. This scheme is compared with other techniques that provide tradeoffs between simplicity of implementation, BER performance, and robustness to channel variations. Based on the es...

The Role of Regulatory in Price Control and Spectrum Allocation to Competing Wireless Access Networks

With the rapid growth of wireless access networks, various providers offer their services using different technologies such as Wi-Fi, Wimax, 3G, 4G and so on. These networks compete for the scarce wireless spectrum. The spectrum is considered to be a scarce resource moderated by the spectrum allocation regulatory (“regulatory” for short) which is the governance body aiming to maximize the socia...

Dynamic Spectrum Access for Wireless Networking

Reforms to the traditional command-and-control communication spectrum licensing policy are being considered worldwide, in several countries. The flexibility offered by the new spectrum policies is expected to enable wireless devices to opportunistically access spectrum in both the licensed and unlicensed bands. Clearly, the success of such an emerging dynamic spectrum access paradigm depends on...

Markov Model Based Jamming and Anti-Jamming Performance Analysis for Cognitive Radio Networks

In this paper, we conduct a cross-layer analysis of both the jamming capability of the cognitiveradio-based jammers and the anti-jamming capability of the cognitive radio networks (CRN). We use a Markov chain to model the CRN operations in spectrum sensing, channel access and channel switching under jamming. With various jamming models, the jamming probabilities and the throughputs of the CRN a...

Secure Collision-Free Frequency Hopping for OFDMA-Based Wireless Networks

This paper considers highly efficient antijamming system design using secure dynamic spectrum access control. First, we propose a collision-free frequency hopping (CFFH) system based on the OFDMA framework and an innovative secure subcarrier assignment scheme. The CFFH system is designed to ensure that each user hops to a new set of subcarriers in a pseudorandom manner at the beginning of each ...
